7 Symptoms Of Inflammatory Diseases

(WellnessPursuits.com) – We have heard over and over that we need to reduce internal inflammation to improve our immune system. What we may not realize is that unless we eliminate the cause(s), we will likely develop life threatening chronic diseases.

Signs and Symptoms That You Have Inflammation:

  1. Chronic joint pain

  2. Repeated bouts of Allergies or Asthma that worsen

  3. GI issues — ulcers, Irritable Bowel Syndrome

  4. Repeated issues of constipation or diarrhea

  5. Skin issues — too dry, with repeat irritations

  6. Hair that is falling out

  7. Chronic blood shot eyes

Degenerative Diseases Caused by Chronic Inflammation:

  1. Diabetes

  2. Heart Disease

  3. Alzheimers

  4. Cancer

  5. Stroke and many others

What Habits Cause Chronic Inflammation

  1. Poor sleep habits

  2. Over-weight/Obesity

  3. Mental Stress

  4. Eating Sugar and Excess Alcohol

  5. Viral or bacterial infections

  6. Unbalanced gut bacteria (good vs bad).

  7. Eating Wheat

So many of these causes are part of our daily life. That said, if we truly want to pursue wellness and live vibrantly, we need to do what we can to cool inflammation and hopefully lower our risk for getting some really difficult diseases.

By the time my parents passed away, they could have been poster children for the list of body stress offenders. Because they both passed away from degenerative diseases, (Cancer, Heart Disease and Stroke) I am very motivated to lower my own body stressors in the hope of avoiding the same degenerative diseases.

So what can I do? What can you do?… We can:

1. Get a solid 7-8 hours of sleep every night… I’ve started staying away from electronics right before bed, and… I wear earplugs and a mask to cut down on sleep disrupters.

2. Lose weight… Most of us have some extra weight that we can eliminate just by changing a few pesky habits. Tips: Leave a little over on your plate each meal. Cut out sodas. Drink more water. Brush your teeth when hunger hits…

3. Lower mental stressTip: Take even 10 minutes a day and right before you fall asleep to take 5 deep breaths and try empty your mind of thoughts and to fill it with an image that gives you peace.

4. Cut out sugar and limit alcohol… it sounds harder than it is, but the more you cut it out, the less you’ll crave it. You can do it! Tips: Cut back on sodas, power bars, sugary snacks. Don’t drink alcohol when you’re thirsty. Drink water first and you’ll have an easier time limiting your alcohol consumption.

5. Strengthen our immune system to lower our chances of a viral or bacterial infection. Tips: Do numbers 1-5.

6. Balance gut bacteria by taking probiotics. I take probiotics every day and have for years. They’re particularly important if you ever take antibiotics because they kill off so much of our good and bad gut bacteria. Tip: Keep your probiotics refrigerated for maximum effect.

7. Cut out Wheat and Gluten Products: This may sound difficult if not impossible, but try this experiment… Cut out wheat for 10 days and see if you feel less achy or your allergy symptoms have eased up. Try it.

There you have it. Knowing that chronic body inflammation can lead to some really difficult health conditions gives me substantial motivation to make some changes where I need to. I’m focusing on improving the causes of the body stressors listed above. What about you?
