5 Signs You Are Destined for Greatness

(WellnessPursuits.com) – Ever wonder if you were born to do something special? Born to achieve wonderful goals that most wouldn’t dare take risks to achieve?

Whether you’ve experienced success throughout your life or you’re just made up your mind to reach for it, you can achieve greatness by adopting the habits of those highly successful people. Are you one of them?

Distinguished professor and lover of life Harry Gray said, “No one ever achieved greatness by playing it safe.” His statement is a fundamental truth in the quest for greatness. If you play it safe, you will never shine.

But if you take risks and show up every day with passion and power, you’ll shine like the crazy diamond you are.

Here are 5 Signs You Are Destined For Greatness:

1) You’re a Risk Taker
You’ll never achieve your dreams if you sit quietly in your comfort zone. Risk taking leads to success. Barbara Corcoran didn’t achieve fame by sitting in an empty house waiting for someone to come in and buy it. She got it by taking risks.

Eventually, she got comfortable with being uncomfortable. From the ground up she built The Corcoran Group, New York’s largest real estate company. She’s also an investor on ABC’s reality show Shark Tank. Think any of that would have happened if she sat still?

2) You Won’t Take No For an Answer
If you want something, you ask for it. When someone tells you no, you go ask someone else. And you keep asking until the answer is yes.

Motivational Speaker Les Brown did this in his early days as a janitor at a radio station. He kept asking the station manager if he could DJ. The station manager kept saying no. But Les Brown never stopped asking. Today he is the one of most renowned motivational speakers in the world, all because he wouldn’t take no for an answer.

3) You Handle Rejection
Those destined for greatness turn rejection into success. They learn how to not take rejection personally. Just about all of us in our chosen career will be rejected many, many times before we get the answer we want.

Author J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter manuscript was rejected 12 times before it was published. Dr. Seuss was rejected 27 times before he was published. Those destined for greatness just keep swimming. (Or in this case, writing!)

4) You Are Always Willing to Grow
“The most successful people in life are the ones who ask questions. They’re always learning. They’re always growing. They’re always pushing.”

Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad said that, and he was right. If you aren’t willing to grow, you won’t. You’ll remain stuck and unhappy. Success is an ever-evolving, never ending process. It’s a journey. Enjoy it.

5) You have Self-Control
Many successful people know when to stop and when to keep going. They know when it’s time to shut down for the day and when it’s time to play.

More than this, they are able to control their emotions in situations that disappoint them. By maintaining self-control, managing their time, and staying in check, they are able to stay on point as they pursue their passions, regardless of the circumstances.

So… now that you’re in the know… do you have or are you willing to adopt these 5 qualities that may destine you for greatness?
